Pocket PC CAD Viewer Freezing

Post by AlongTheWay » 28 Mar 2007, 07:26

I recently purchased your software and I have the problem of the software freezing using AutoCad .dwg files. I have stored 900+ drawing files on the SD card. Yes I tried a few on the main memory but still the same freezing when I pan or zoom. I am an Industrial Electrician for a large metals smelter and keep a relevant portion of my electrical drawings for trouble shooting purposes. I need a reliable source with quick access. Is there a fix to this freeze up of the software? Otherwise this software is useless to me. The .dwg drawings I have were made in AutoCad by our electrical draftsman and samples cannot be sent due to security and copyright reasons. Hope you can help me, Thank you.

More information
I have also tried a .bmp file that does a great deal of flashing when I pan the picture to a certain point then the viewer goes blank. I cannot see all the picture. I was able to see the picture pan and zoom in the trial version. It works better that the registered version.... Yes I have also reloaded the program and unloaded all other programs when I am running the software. I have installed the microsoft .net frame 2 as required. I am using a Dell Axim 624 mhz x51 PDA with Windows mobile 5. And have a 2 gig memory SD card.
Thank you.

Hello!

We made lots of tests with Pocket PC CAD Viewer. It never showed such behaviour. We suppose that you load very large and "heavy" files, and it is required some time to view them. At any rate it is impossible to determine the reason of the problem without your files.
Also please take into consideration that even the most productive Pocket PCs are far from the productivity of usual personal computers.

Sergey.

I can load the file and move a bit then it freezes.
I may be able to get one of the files. Where can I send it for evaluation? Thank you
