General Question

Hello,
First off, I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong thread, but I have a general question about your product.
I am attempting to create an estimating program for our office using visual basic 2008, and would like to incorporate
a feature which would allow me to import a set of plans in multiple types of formats (eg. pdf. jpeg. tiff. dwg) and then
be able to set the scale to do takeoffs for linear feet, square feet, and quantities. Having absolutely no knowledge of
your program, I was wondering if it can help me? I am learning visual basic and as of yet don't see any capabilities of
creating what I'm looking for. Thanks for any suggestions.
