creating arrows in ABViewer professional

Post by Dagmar » 12 Apr 2007, 10:20

Hi all,
whenever I try to create an arrow in ABViewer Professional it always comes up as straight line only.
Following all the steps from the help menue I can click the arrow icon in the toolbar, I can click where the arrow should point to, I can drag the pointer to the targeted length. But the next step does not work: to enter the length via keyboard, it never changes the value it automatically allocates and I can't right click to enter the arrow after left click to finish.

Anybody knows how to fix this?
Thanks

Dear Dagmar,

Here goes explanation how to draw an arrow on the image:

Select Draw > Arrow menu item.

Click once where arrow has to be directed to.

Drag mouse cursor to the point where arrow has to be started from.

Finishing:

Enter line length on the keyboard. Entered value will be displayed in the status bar.

or

Left mouse button click.

or

Right mouse button click. Popup window will arise with two items:

Enter - finishes drawing arrow.

Cancel - removes drawn arrow.

If arrow looks like a straight line, do the following:

Select View > Properties menu item. Panel Properties will arise.

Select arrow by mouse.

Find parameter Arrow Size in the panel Properties and enter new value in ten times greater then previous.

Press Enter button on the keyboard.

Sergey.

Also, if the arrowhead is too big, it isn't shown. I use orders of magnitude (1,10,100) to find the right range if I'm having trouble.

Using ABViewer 6.1.0.44 Pro on XP SP2

Select File > New menu item.

Draw arrow across the screen.

The received arrow will be visible by a naked eye.

Arrow Size parameter will be equal 5,94

If you draw arrow on some drawing, please send it us to support@cadsofttools.com. We will find acceptable Arrow Size accordingly to the drawing's scale.

Sergey.
