Setting ISO lines

Post by GEMED » 03 Jan 2011, 17:10

Dear Madam or Sir,

how is it possible to add ISO-standard lines to an existing dxf-file? To be more precise, we'd like to add the "MITTE"/"CENTER" and "MITTE2"/"CENTER2" as they are defined by International Organization for Standardization. Those line types are e.g. provided with AutoCAD in the "acadiso.lin" file.

If this is not possible, how can we add other types of lines in general, like dash-dot for example?

We're using ABViewer 7.3.0.5 Professional.

Thanking you in anticipation,
GEMED mbH

Hello.
ABViewer current version doesn`t allow import ISO-standard lines from "acadiso.lin" file. Please store the required line types in the original file to provide the possibility to set these line types.

Hi Alexander,

that is pretty bad because we bought the program in order to work with acadiso.lin-Files. It's essential for us to be able to handle more than just the types of lines that come with the original files as we want to modify them. Is it possible for you to add this and provide it in an update? It's not necessary for use to use acadiso.lin-Files (although it would be great), but at least three different addable types of lines would be good.

Thank you and kind regards

Hello.
We plan to implement support of acadiso.lin in the future. Unfortunately the closest release versions won't contain such functionality. ABViewer allows use some ISO-standard lines currently. These types accessible when you create new drawing in ABViewer. For now we can buid the version in which these line types will be accessible after file import too. Please let us know if such solution is acceptable.

Dear Alexander,

that would indeed be an improvement for us. Could you notice us when the update is available?

Thank you in advance for your efforts!
