Great tool, but I've a suggestion: <text> tags like
"<<blahblah>>"
should get rendered as
"<<blahblah>>"
Is this possible?

Could you please explain what does it mean. Is it bug in ABViewer or any other product? Could you please send to us a file with the problem.
