wrong scale factor in CGM

Post by rele » 12 Jul 2007, 10:35

Hi, I use CGM- and DXF-files for my drawings. When opening the DXF-file with the ABViewer everything is alright, but when opening the CGM-file there are some problems. The CGM-file has another scale factor than the origin file. For measurement it is no problem, because I can handle it with the “set size as”- tool, but this changes does not appear in the preference panel. So when I mark an arc or a circle, the scale factor of the radius does not change. Also when using the dimension tool, it appears in a much bigger size than the drawing. So I always have to correct the arrow size and the text high and have to fill in the right distance.
I hope someone can help me with this problem, thanks.

Hello Rele,

Thank you for the message.
Some CGM files contains inner scale parameters which are not documented in the official CGM documentation. Can you please send us your CGM files to support@cadsofttools.com. We need to test described problem.

Sergey.
