XnView : Image resolution too low
Hi !
I need to perform high resolution conversion of DWG or DXF files. I am evaluating your products and :
- first i have a limit of 20000 pixels on win xp system
- the image is always black and white
- there is no antialiasing on it
- i have tried with the CS plugins instead of the CADImage (it's written on the image that you will have better resolution by using the CS plugins) ... but it's exactly the same.
So could you help me to get the best from your product ... and then to choose them !
Best regards
Sylvain Caillet

Hi,
CS_DWG.DLL - allows viewing DWG files
CS_DXF.DLL - allows viewing DXF files
CS_HPGL.DLL - allows viewing HPGL files
CS_SVG.DLL - allows viewing SVG files
CS_CGM.DLL - allows viewing CGM files
CADImage.DLL - allows viewing of DXF/DWG and HPGL files
CS_DWG.dll, CS_DXF.dll, CS_HPGL.DLL, CS_SVG.DLL and CS_CGM.DLL are intended for separate use without CADImage.dll.
If there is CADImage.dll in ...XnView\Plugins directory you don't need CS_DWG.dll, CS_DXF.dll, CS_HPGL.DLL, CS_SVG.DLL or CS_CGM.DLL any more.
These plugins draw dwg, dxf, hpgl, svg and cgm files as a DIB (kind of bitmap). That's why there are some restrictions caused by Windows system resources. For example if the resolution of image is set by CS-Manager to 4001 and higher it loses its color. There are two ways for getting out of the arisen situation:
1. Setting by the CS-Manager the resolution of image to 4000 and lower.
2. Using the ABViewer 5. It is available on download link: http://www.cadsofttools.com/Download/ABViewer.zip
The fact-finding information about the ABViewer 5 is available on: http://www.cadsofttools.com/?PageName=ABViewer
