Changing Color

The current color value of an entity can be seen in the panel Properties. The entity color can either be set explicitly or be inherited from the layer or block.

 

The color can be changed in the following ways:

Change the color of the layer where the object is situated in the dialog box "Layers". For the object to assume the specified color of the layer set the color value By Layer for this element.

Move the object to another layer with a different color. The property Color of the moved entity must be By Layer for the color to change according to the new layer.

Set the color explicitly to the object in the panel "Properties". The explicitly set color will have a priority over the layer color which the object belongs to.

 

The color of an entity belonging to a block can be set in the following ways:

Change the color of the layer where the object is situated in the dialog box "Layers". The entity of the block must  have the color value By Layer, the color value of the block doesn't matter. The entity and the block can be situated on different layers.

Move the block to another layer with a different color.The entity of the block must  have the color value By Layer, the color value of the block doesn't matter. The entity and the block can be situated on different layers.

Set the color explicitly to the object in the panel "Properties" in the Block Editor mode. The explicitly set color will have a priority over the layer and block color which the object belongs to.

Set the block color explicitly in the panel "Properties". The entity of the block must have the color value By Block.
